Dot And The Kangaroo

Dot and the Kangaroo is a 1977 Australian musical live action/animated film which combines animation and live-action. It is based on the 1899 children's literature book Dot and the Kangaroo by Ethel Pedley.

The farmer girl Dot gets lost in the Australian bush and is taken in by a kangaroo mother who has lost her baby; through a strange root that the girl eats, she can suddenly speak to animals and experience many adventures.
