Phoenix, 32, was born and raised in the African Hebrew Israelite community, a fringe religious movement living in Israel. When he was 3, a close family friend took advantage of his loneliness and raped him. Phoenix lives in post-trauma, and uses sculpture and rap song writing to help overcome the trauma.
