Six years after the Middle East Six Day War, Menashe is still traumatized by his experiences as a soldier. He withdraws from society. His young wife Daphna and their 10-year old son Shlomi suffer under his silence and rejection. Meanwhile, all around them, the nation of Israel is bracing for another largescale war.
