In 1970 a mother is brutally murdered in front of her own child in the woods of Black Tree Forest. Decades later a group of college friends head off to the same woods, but Brian Mellows, the child has recently escaped from a local mental hospital and has returned looking to seek revenge on all who enter the forest.
